Educational Loans
ACCF Educational Loans can help cover the cost of tuition and fees for students of all ages with a household net worth of less than $250,000.
These loans are interest-free during the time the student is in college or a non-degree program, plus one additional year.
Repayment begins one year after completion of college. If not paid in full after this additional year, interest is charged at the market prime rate.
For Adult Education Students pursuing certificate and other non-degree programs, applications can be submitted anytime with approval or denial notification within three weeks. These students must be U.S. citizens residing in Ashland County and entering, or currently enrolled, in an Adult Education program (not including 2- or 4-year college/university or graduate degree programs).
For graduating high school seniors, continuing college students and adults pursuing degrees, application deadlines are November 1 for spring semester, March 15 for summer programs and June 15 for fall semester. These students may be 1.) Ashland County residents of any age OR 2.) Non-Ashland County residents who have graduated from any Ashland County high school and plan matriculation into college prior to the age of 23. Students must be U.S citizens with a GPA of 2.5 or above.
All applicants fill out a single application to be considered for loans from two sources — Dr. Gilbert Hess Loans may go to any student meeting the above criteria, while Stephen M. Pealer loans are specifically for Ashland County high school graduates who plan to attend a 2- or 4-year, accredited Ohio public institution. Students pursuing a career in healthcare are given preference for Pealer Loans.
