The Ashland County Nonprofit Summer Fellowship Program pairs young adults with meaningful, paid community service opportunities in Ashland County nonprofit organizations. Its goals are to provide meaningful professional experience to young people and to positively impact both fellows and Ashland County nonprofits.
This collaborative program of Ashland Area Chamber of Commerce, Ashland County Community Foundation, and United Way of Ashland County started in Summer 2025. The program draws on the complementary strengths of the three parent organizations to build the skills of young professionals while strengthening local nonprofits.
Fellows will receive a stipend, paid bi-weekly at a competitive hourly wage, and the program is free for the four chosen nonprofit host organizations, thanks to financial support from the three sponsor organizations.
All fellows must be incoming college sophomores, juniors or seniors. Fellows are required to work 32 hours per week as designated by their host organization from June 1 to August 14, 2026. In addition, Fellows attend 3 professional development days, weekly check-in meetings, and educational excursions as time permits. Applications must be submitted by Friday, February 13, 2026.
