Nancy Davis

Nancy was born in Ashland in 1944, the third child of J. Robert and Ruth Tipton. She graduated from Ashland High School in 1962 and from Miami University in 1966. Nancy married Bob Davis, a young medical student in 1967 and she taught school while Bob attended medical school in New Jersey. They lived in New Jersey, Connecticut, and New Mexico before deciding to move back “home” to Ohio to raise their three children, Meg, Libby and Bobby.

Nancy was honored to have been part of the original founding board of ACCF and she served in many capacities over the years including the Executive committee and as the chairperson of Development, Scholarship, Grants and Membership committees.

The Footprints in Stone campaign at ACCF presented an opportunity for donors to endow the operations of ACCF so that future donations could ultimately go directly to serving current needs and scholarships in Ashland County. Nancy felt strongly that the Footprints in Stone campaign was an excellent place to leave a legacy.

“So much money has remained in Ashland County because we have a community foundation today,” Nancy stated. “I feel that those of us who have enjoyed a good life in Ashland County have a wonderful opportunity to give “back to the future” of Ashland County through the Foundation. By planning today, we can leave a legacy for tomorrow. What a privilege it is to have enjoyed a wonderful life in Ashland County and to be able to give back a little bit to the future of our beloved town.
